Reduced Cost
Improve clutch longevity and performance by returning your clutch installation to the “new condition”. This puts the physical location of the clutch, in relation to the release bearing, back to factory specifications.
How far is too far?
A resurfaced flywheel moves the clutch farther away from the release fork and can cause a no release or poor release condition. A flywheel that has been resurfaced “beyond limits” may be weakened or allow excessive heat buildup thus causing the flywheel to warp and heat check.
New vs. Resurfacing Your Flywheel
A new flywheel comes with a new ring gear. Thus giving the starter gear a new mating surface to mesh with when starting the engine. In many cases our new flywheel is comparable to the price of a new ring gear from the Original Equipment Manufacturer.
Warranty
Minimize clutch warranty exposure by installing a new flywheel. While clutches are very forgiving…it is impossible to compensate for all wearable items related to clutch performance. New Flywheels come with a 12 month unlimited mileage warranty against defects in material and workmanship
Quality Assurance
Unlike our competition, we use certified “high tensile” G3500 grey iron castings that meet or exceed the O.E.M. specifications for Diesel applications
Manufacturing Strength
Quality parts come from Quality Suppliers. Our manufacturers produce under ISO Quality Assurance Procedures and most with TS16949 certification.
Proper Run-Out
If the crankshaft flange is not referenced properly during resurfacing, the friction surface will not be perpendicular to the crankshaft flange. Fit and finish of a new flywheel or flywheel housing are guaranteed.
